Church Fire Unites Local Community
Reverend Garry Higgs of St. Giles the Abbot (the church on the hill) in Cheadle reported to COGNEWS that they had experienced a fire. The fire occurred during the Sunday morning service on the 19th of April 2026. Cheadle Foodbank Receives a Lion's Share Donation
On Wednesday, 25th February, Cheadle Foodbank was presented with a cheque for £250 to help run the service by Cheadle Lions. COGNEWS was told that they sometimes run short of stock and that this money will help them restock their shelves, as they are totally reliant on donations.
