Local Events
Important Note:
All listing details are provided by the event organisers. Cheadle COG cannot be held responsibility for any activities or events which do not match client expectations, or are later cancelled. It is the responsibility of the event organiser to arrange any refunds, additional information, or changes to their event. We advise for you to contact the organisation first to avoid disappointment.
Hosting your events with Cheadle COG & COGNEWS
We can now help manage local event/activity ticketing and RSVP numbers. We are delighted to be able to offer this service which includes payment processing, publicity and transaction management.There is a small charge for members and a set rate for organisations who have an event budget. All profits go towards the enrichment of our area. Fees cover the cost of the card transaction fee (where applicable), and the admin costs involved in hosting any event. Additionally we are able to add bolt-on premium items, which can provide additional revenue streams for all kinds of events whilst elevating guest experience. These include:

Different types of tickets such as children's or student discounted tickets

Seating plans, allowing guests to choose where they sit

In-Person, Hybrid and Online Events, enabling anyone to attend

Pre-booking of food, to help reduce catering waste and improve staff/volunteer deployment

Goody Bags, V.I.P. tickets, Meet & Greets etc.

Rates:
COG Community Members without funded budgets.
Set up fee for all approved events £10 for up to 2 ticket styles + £10 per additional 2 styles
VIP Bolt-ons £50 per event
Commercial and Statutory Organisations, or Members with funded budgets, price on application.
Managing Refunds:
Organisers are responsible for refunding all monies due to guests for cancelled events, or significantly changed events that don't have prior guest consent. Complaints/Refund requests must be handled promptly by the event organiser. Cheadle COG will not refund without written consent from the event organiser any payments made by guests, unless the event organiser fails to refund guests in line with their statutory obligations. 7 days notice will be given to event organisers and money will be taken from the event pot. This is for bookings made via CheadleCOG.com only. Partial refunds are possible and should any event be in peril call the COG Events team immediately, prompt action prevents big losses and damaged reputations.
