Cheadle CATS are celebrating this week after winning at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Awards held in Warwick. The company won a special award for providing quality productions, despite not having a permanent home.

They were also nominated for Best Drama with their production of "Romeo and Juliet," directed by Rich Gilbert.
The regional awards include almost 200 societies and groups, stretching from the Moorlands & Potteries and the Welsh Marches of Shropshire, through the Black Country to the center of Birmingham, then across Herefordshire and Worcestershire with the Malvern Hills and Warwickshire.
The area is a region rich in culture and diversity with a strong and vibrant amateur theatre output and interest. You can see performances in some of the best theatres in the West Midlands and also enjoy the wealth of talent in smaller venues, well-equipped community centres, schools, and village halls.

CATS' production of Romeo & Juliet was hosted on the Tennis Courts at Tean Road Recreation Ground last year, showcasing just how creative and determined our brilliant award-winning theatre company is.
Well done to all at Cheadle CATS!
