Locally written and produced theatre production by The Hammersley Project. A True British Soldier by M C E Callaghan is a homage to the life of a real Leek man, the last to die in action in WWII. A musical play dramatising the relationship between a father with 'barbed-wire syndrome' and his young exuberant son, with his whole life ahead of him, and a love letter to the town they fought for. A True British Soldier is for fans of history, of community and of theatre in its rawest form. It will have you laughing and crying in equal measure.
