Easter Bunny hops into Cheadle

Yesterday, Saturday 19th of April, the Easter Bunny took some time away from his busy weekend delivering eggs to help Cheadle and District Lions with their Annual Duck Race preparations. Donning his honorary Lions vest, the Easter Bunny greeted local families as they purchased their duck race tickets.

Each ticket sold will have a corresponding number attached to a duck who will be entered into one of the two races to be held on the 5th of May at Tean Jubilee Park, as part of the Party in the Park Annual Celebration. Jubilee Park is located on the High Street, Tean ST10 4DZ, with parking available across the road from the park. This annual event is a wonderful community day for the area.

Races will take place this year, one at 1 pm and the next at 3 pm, when hundreds of little plastic ducks will make their way down the River Tean, ably assisted and safely retrieved by local Lions. Prizes this year are: 1st prize £100, 2nd prize a Co-op Hamper valued at £60, and 3rd prize is a chocolate hamper and £10 Asda voucher.
