A resident near the petrol station told COGNEWS that there is now a public nuisance of late-night drinking and broken bottles outside their house near The Green in Cheadle. One neighbor reported 72 bottles under a hedge. Inspecting the bottles proved that they were coming from the 24-hour petrol station, which has a license to sell alcohol for that period.
