This summer, Staffordshire libraries have lots of free and low-cost activities for families.

Free events at Staffordshire Libraries

The Summer Reading Challenge is a great way to get children excited about books. You can sign up for free at your local library and they can collect stickers every time they borrow a book. If they read six books by 15 September, they’ll earn a medal and a certificate to take home.

Libraries are also hosting lots of events, including craft sessions and story-times.

From 7 to 15 August, The Dr Dolittle show visiting libraries across the county. This fun 35‑minute performance is full of puppets, songs and chances for your children to join in. It’s perfect for ages four and over. The shows are free, but spaces are filling up fast. Contact your local library to book.
