Cheadle Carnival Committee invites you to join the parade by creating your own carnival float for next year's carnival weekend event.
The theme is seaside & holidays, and this year's event promises to capture the spirit of the old-style parade with new and exciting twists adding to the spectacle.
If you're looking for ways for your group, club, charity, or even company to be seen and be connected to South Moorlands, this is a perfect opportunity to showcase your organisation to thousands of visitors.
It doesn't have to be big or expensive, with a little funding and lots of creativity and skill available within the group to help you:
Create a walking group
Create a Car Float
Go bigger and have a traditional trailer-based float
You can add walkers, singers, characters, musicians, bands, dance troupes - the creative possibilities are almost endless.
The committee encourages you to imagine a mosaic of swirling costumes, pulsating music, and contagious laughter weaving through the town’s streets—a celebration that sparkles with every step and smile. Bringing back the joy of carnival parades from the past, remembering your childhood, taking part or standing watching the parade go by and the joy it brings.
Get ready to transform the town with decorated floats, car boots and walkers in dazzling costumes, radiant face paint, and more. Whether you are part of an organisation or club or twirl with a troupe, everyone’s welcome to help paint the town in waves of joy, rhythm, and community spirit. Let the sound of the music and the colours of the displays sweep you along as you become part of a living artwork - our parade!

Come along to the next open workshop on Saturday 25th October between 1.00-3.00 pm at Redeezine, The Tudor House, High Street, Cheadle. Where you'll find lots of ideas to help you design and make your costumes or floats. The first eight entrants will receive up to £50 towards the cost of materials.
We can’t wait to see you shining in the parade, celebrating side by side, and making memories that shimmer long after the last confetti falls!
