The Cheadle Carnival Committee was thrilled with the amazing support for their inaugural car show, held in June. Over 80 cars, trucks, tractors, and various other vehicles captivated the numerous visitors who attended. People of all ages, from nearby and afar, enjoyed Country and Western singers, a seated bar, and even some impromptu line dancing.
The children's entertainment, ice cream van, food stall, tombola, and raffle all contributed to raising funds for the larger carnival event, a cherished part of Cheadle's social calendar. Charlie Bear also made an appearance, much to the younger children's delight.
The carnival committee expresses gratitude to the sponsors, The Baker’s Arms, and Councillor Bentley's Community Initiative Fund for their support in making this event possible.
Update
After receiving excellent feedback from visitors and enthusiasts, the committee has decided to organize another event on Sunday, September 28th, at Tape Street car park. This time, it will be larger with over 115 vehicles, and once again, there will be other attractions to raise funds for Cheadle Carnival.
