What's on this month

What's on this month

After an incredibly busy quarter on the run up to Christmas many groups are taking a slower pace with events this month.

From Local Organisations

Cheadle Flower Club:

The Club's next meeting will be the AGM and social evening on 15th January 2025 at 7.30 pm at The Oakley Room, Cheadle Guildhall. Everyone is warmly invited to attend and can expect a warm welcome. For further information about our Club, please contact our chairman Sheila Jones at 07974577572 or email sheilajones53@hotmail.com.

Cheadle Historical Society:

We return on January 16th to the New Life, and we will be given a very interesting presentation by Jenna Goodwin, aka “The Red Haired Stokie,” about a medieval casket that turned up in Uttoxeter several years ago and is now in Ohio, U.S.A. Medieval is always good… DON’T MISS IT!

Museum of the Market & Warm Space:

OUTSIDE has opened a stall, the Museum of the Market, in the newly refurbished Leek Butter Market. The stall is a hub to take part in fun craft activities, tell stories about the market, and learn about OUTSIDE projects and events. The market stall is also officially registered as a Warm Welcome Space. Pop by for a chat and a hot drink. Join us during Warm Welcome Week (20th-26th January 2025) where we are inviting everyone to wear warm colours and get creative with pinks, oranges, reds, and purples to chase the blues away this January!

The Stunner Sessions:

Known locally as The Stunner, the Cheadle and Tean Times ceased production in 2023. To relive some of its stories, we are celebrating The Stunner archives – which are held in Cheadle Library – on the first Wednesday of every month (aside from January 8th) starting on September 4th. Emma from OUTSIDE is facilitating the sessions which run from 10am – 12pm at Cheadle Library.
