Staffordshire Police are introducing a new tool called StreetSafe. Its aim is to help residents and visitors feel safe on our streets by allowing you to report locations anonymously where you feel uncomfortable.

Examples of situations that should be reported to StreetSafe include a poorly lit alleyway that makes you feel unsafe or a park with broken equipment that poses a safety hazard. StreetSafe is anonymous. This means that you won’t be contacted for further information. You'll be asked about where it happened and why you felt unsafe. You'll also be asked why you haven't reported what happened to the police and your age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and if you have any illnesses or disabilities.
The questions about you are optional, but if you decide to answer them, it will help the police to better understand your experience.
The information you give is used in the policing decisions made in your location. The data is also shared with government officials responsible for making our streets safer. You can use the tool from the button or link below. COGNEWS would like to encourage you to share this with people you know who might find it valuable.
StreetSafe is not for reporting crimes. If there is a threat to life, always dial 999. If it's not urgent, you can report online or dial 101. If you witness a crime, please report it online. If you're unsure whether something is a crime or not, you can read the police advice on the report a crime page. Your report will be sent directly to the control room.
