Small Business Success at Cheadle Market

Updated: Jul 29

We'd like to introduce you to Jane and her lovely range of craft, jewellery and flowers (depicted above).

We met up with her at Cheadle Market recently to find out more about her business.

Jane began her crafting business in January this year and rapidly ran out of space in her home, now she ventures out onto the Cheadle market stall most days of the week. She started out in a bedroom/craft room with just a table and chair and taught herself the craft skills to produce her wonderful collection.

Her affordable hand-made jewellery, flower arrangements and other crafts are perfect if you are looking for a gift, or a lovely object to bring joy into your home. Jane's stall is a good place to encourage our tourists to visit too, especially when they are on the lookout for things to take home which are locally made.

This reporter was really impressed by Jane's low prices and was told she's selling her goods at cost right now to help explore and develop her business. Her smile gives away her joy and happiness of chatting and selling to local people. She told me about a recent customer interaction. She'd explained how crystals come to be to a young boy who after their purchase, he'd spent most of the journey home explaining how crystals are made to his mum.

Market stalls make our town a vibrant place, please visit and support our stall vendors as often as you can to help create more Small Business Success at Cheadle Market.
