PCSOs Engage with Sixth Form Students in Cheadle

As part of Staffordshire Police's continued commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls, Staffordshire Police have been taking part in a Week of Action to raise awareness, provide support, and engage with local communities.

Last week, PCSOs Gorman and Waters visited Painsley Sixth Form College in Cheadle, where they spoke with students about VAWG, personal safety, and how the police respond to incidents of abuse.
Students were introduced to helpful tools such as the HollieGuard app – a free personal safety app that can notify emergency contacts if someone feels at risk. Officers also explained the protective powers available through the police, including:
Clare’s Law (Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme)
Domestic Violence Protection Notices (DVPNs)
Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPOs)
