COGNEWS would like to wish everyone in Staffordshire Moorlands a very Happy Valentines Day!
St. Valentine's Day originated as a Christian feast day honouring a martyr named Valentine, and through later folk traditions it has also become a significant cultural, religious and commercial celebration of romance, commitment, and love in many regions of the world until it became the celebration we have today. Whilst it's a great day to celebrate your partner it's also great day to self care and share some love with your community.
With this in mind, we've produced a pull-out for this week's Pocket COG, showing just a few ways you can share a little love this February. All the organisations are known to us personally, and there are many more you can find in the COG Member Directory - So if there's a different organisation you'd like to help, get in touch and ask what you can do to help. Whilst it's a great day to celebrate your partner it's also great day to self care and share some love with your community
We're always better off for opportunities to feel valued, and the best way to start can often be to give first.
