Cheadle’s Sunshine Club: Holiday Trip 2025

A group of 42 old and not-so-old retired Cheadle folk left our town for their annual holiday. This year, it was a trip to Great Yarmouth. Five days in the New Beach Hotel, which had great views of the beach and sea.
They had one coach trip to Norwich and another to the Norfolk Broads, which consisted of a river cruise for 1.5 hours followed by a steam train journey. They even had time for a trip to a shopping outlet as part of their return journey back to the hotel.
Evenings were just as busy with bingo, dancing, and quizzes. Brenda Mills, the previous organiser, told COGNEWS that she had a most relaxing holiday because everything had been planned by others.
Breakfast and evening meals were fully provided, all for an amazing price of £365.
She is looking forward to her next trip run by this active club. They meet in the Guild Hall every two weeks.
