Staffordshire Police are urging HGV drivers not to attempt to pass through three roads in Oakamoor following the obstruction on Mill Rd/Oakamoor Rd on FRIDAY, 25th APRIL 2025.


Staffordshire Police Issue Advice to HGV Drivers Following Road Blockage in Oakamoor

Police issued the following statement: "We are aware of an HGV that has caused an obstruction to other road users in Mill Rd/Oakamoor Rd in OAKAMOOR on FRIDAY, 25th APRIL 2025. The HGV driver went down a narrow single-track country lane and got stuck for approximately 3 hours. The situation has been dealt with by Moorlands Response officers, and the driver has been reported for due care offences.” 


"We would advise any HGV drivers not to attempt to drive down this road in the future." Stoney Drive and Chapel Lane are also included in their advice notice.
