Seeking a New Home: A Heartfelt Request

I grew from an acorn picked up beneath the oak tree by the telephone mast in the long-stay car park during the pandemic lockdown of November 2020.
Roy Hedges found two acorns and planted them in pots, where they spent the winter in his greenhouse. By spring 2021, my sibling and I had become tiny saplings. We grew quickly, and by spring 2023 we needed larger pots. Sadly, my sibling did not survive the move, but I have thrived in my new pot. Roy realized I could not stay with him for long: I may live for up to a thousand years and will certainly grow far too large for his garden.
He offered me to the District Council as a memorial to the people of Cheadle who died during the pandemic and even named me The Pandemic Oak.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have come of that offer. He thought I might make a fine addition to the Tean Road Recreation Ground. I am ready for another move, and I would love a permanent home. I like the idea of sheltering the people of Cheadle from sun and rain in 3020.
