Painsley Catholic College: Year 7's LEGO adventure

Painsley Catholic College: Year 7's LEGO adventure

During the Advent and Lent terms, the Year 7 Robotics Engineers dedicated their lunchtimes to

programming, problem-solving, and building a LEGO robot in preparation for the regional

finals at Newcastle Under Lyme College.

The students faced off against 20 other teams, competing throughout the day to earn as

many points as possible on the LEGO ‘Submerged’ game board. Their hard work and

determination were evident as they tackled various challenges.

At the event, the students had the opportunity to present their work and explain their journey

to a panel of judges, who were particularly impressed with the effort and teamwork displayed

throughout the process. The Year 7s impressed everyone with their dedication and

enthusiasm, learning valuable lessons along the way.

Excited by the experience, the team has decided to continue their LEGO journey every Friday

lunchtime for the rest of the academic year.
