The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) has recently reintroduced a visitor map to help local visitors find out more about our local area, which will also help local businesses attract more visitors. Staffordshire LVEP is a partnership between local government, tourism organisations, business associations, and key stakeholders dedicated to promoting and enhancing the visitor economy.

The map is currently being distributed across strategic places such as airports and train stations within a two-hour travel time and more locally in places tourists are likely to visit. SMDC tourism officers are busy getting the maps out to local visitor destinations, and more locally still, members of Cheadle Town Council's BTEC committee are visiting smaller businesses to make sure the map is available to those who wish to stock it.
Lori Wood Williams, BTEC lead, told COGNEWS, "The response by our local businesses has been brilliant. Every place we've visited so far has been pleased to see the new map. It features quite a few Moorlands attractions and has direct links, including a QR code, to the new Visit Staffordshire Moorlands website putting Staffordshire Moorlands literally on the map!"
"We've had the map for about 10 days, and are already having to restock so that we can get it out to our many businesses who can benefit from the boost the map will bring to our town. Local businesses who would like to have regular map supplies can contact me to arrange a drop off."
