Man charged after firearm seized

A man has been charged after a firearm was seized in Biddulph. Ryan Vincent, 23, from Biddulph, has been charged with possessing a firearm of length less than 30cm / 60cm, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, intentional strangulation, possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place, and three counts of assault by beating.
It comes after officers searched a house off Lawton Street, Biddulph on Friday (10 October) and seized a viable firearm and ammunition. It also follows a number of assaults on women between 2023 and 2025.
Vincent appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday (11 October) and was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday 10 November.
