ChatHealth is a safe and confidential text messaging service, connecting young people and parents/carers in Staffordshire with health professionals from the Families Health and Wellbeing Service, which supports 0 to 19 years in Staffordshire. It's organized by the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
You can contact the service by:
Young people - text 07520 6157
Parents/ carers - text 07520 615722
Â
The ChatHealth text messaging service allows young people between 11 and 19, including those who are not in education or training, to contact a School Nurse for support relating to their physical health, emotional health, safety, relationships, and any other worries they may have. This can include body changes, exams, alcohol, drugs, vaping, bedwetting, sleep, low mood, self-harm, eating habits, bullying, illness, and much more.
Â
ChatHealth also offers parents and carers advice on child and family health, development, feeding and nutrition, parenting advice and support, behavior difficulties, emotional health, and emotional well-being from birth to 19.
Â
The ChatHealth Staffordshire service is available Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Outside of these times, anyone who texts the service receives a message explaining where to get help if their question is urgent, and when they can expect a response.
