Crews are planing and resurfacing the road between Mill Lane and Cheadle Road junctions at a greater depth than originally planned. The additional improvements are needed as broken drains, several gaps under the road surface and poor-quality utility reinstatements were identified and require repair.

Crews are working six days per week, Monday to Saturday from 7.30am to 4.30pm to get the additional work done as quickly as possible. To make sure works can be done safely, the A520 Main Road remains closed. A signed diversion is in place along the A522 Cheadle Road and A52 Kingsley Road.

The team on site have been keeping the local community up to date on progress and residents have thanked them for their professionalism, kindness and the quality of the work. Pictured are members of the team with local residents.
