Happy Mother's Day to All Our Mums!

On behalf of everyone who has benefited from having a mum, a mother figure, a dad who did mum's job, etc., we'd like to say a big thank you—with heartfelt gratitude.
Mothers are not perfect; you lot don't come with a manual, and she/he never received any training or even a warning label! Mums are just like you: imperfect, unsure, figuring it out as they go along, and yet somehow managing to achieve awesomeness without really understanding how or realising that they have.
For most mums, we get our reward in the amazing things you do. That can be anything from your first word to a first at Cambridge. It comes from watching you try things and seeing you succeed or fail and try again, and being with you as much as we can - and as much as you'll let us.
Being a mum is not an accidental process; it's intent, it's doing something because someone else needs it even when you're tired, angry, depleted, or broke - again and again.
The big thing most mums want is validation to know what they do or did do mattered. It's not big grand gestures or the obligatory lunch; it's knowing that some of that stuff she/he did mattered to you. Today is a day not for commercial benefit but just for you to tell her that what she did mattered to you.
So, if you haven't told her yet, go tell her!
