Staffordshire is one of the UK’s fastest-growing economies thanks to big regeneration projects, major job growth, and great accessibility. But what are the business opportunities? Moorlands business owners are invited to a lunch, networking, and panel event to explore the future of Staffordshire's economy.

The event will take place on Thursday, 4th September 2025 11:30 am – 2:30 pm  at Keele University, IC6 and is Hosted by Insider Media in collaboration with Invest Staffordshire. This exclusive event will spotlight the county’s economic strengths across advanced manufacturing, property, and tourism.

Driving Growth: Staffordshire Business Lunch & Forum Event

Insider’s special forum, organised in partnership with Invest Staffordshire, will explore how the area promotes itself globally and how it can drive growth through its world-class businesses, such as Bet365, JCB, and Michelin.

The event will also look at how the area makes the most of its status as a tourism hotspot, with attractions such as Alton Towers, as well as investment hotspot, with Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone and The Central Edge Growth Zone.

The forum will hear from key business and education leaders, as well as senior public sector officials, who will give their views on the key topics:

  • Advanced manufacturing How does the county maximise those assets to attract major investment and create a global supply chain around advanced materials, green energy and high-tech production?  What help does it need from central, regional and local government to achieve this and what skills does it need?

  • Property development How does the area make the most of major schemes, such as West Midlands Interchange? What more space is needed? How important a role are public-private partnerships in creating key sites such as i54 and initiatives such as The Central Edge, which are driving investment into the area?

  • Growing tourism Staffordshire is a tourism hotspot worth £2.3bn a year, with visitor numbers up a third since 2019. How does the county build on this and what are the opportunities?

How do the county make the most of such a unique cluster of well-known attractions, such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Waterworld, Trentham Estate and the National Memorial Arboretum?
