Cheadle Flower Club Chairman, Sheila Jones, welcomed members and friends to a ‘Spring Workshop’ for their February meeting.  Sheila was also the host for the evening with a demonstration of creating a spring door wreath.

Everyone was provided with a wicker woven wreath, together with a huge selection of silk flowers, spring bunnies, Easter eggs, butterflies, and ribbon for decorating their wreath. Sheila demonstrated how to wire and hold the flowers in place and also how to use cable ties to secure the material onto the wreath.

All of the wreaths were absolutely beautiful and very individual to members who created their own lovely designs and ideas, enabling everyone to produce beautiful and unique ‘Spring Wreaths’.

A vote of thanks was given to Sheila by Pat for a wonderful evening and all the hard work and preparation that goes into giving a presentation.

The Club would like to extend a huge thank you to Pat and Lynne for organising our annual lunch at The Royal Oak, Dilhorne. This was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended, and we all appreciate the time involved in organizing.

The Club’s next meeting is a demonstration by Karen from Rudyard Flowers at the Oakley Room, Guild Hall, Tape Street, Cheadle, on Wednesday, 18th March at 7.30 pm. This will be a lovely evening with all flowers used being grown on her farm in Rudyard.

Everyone can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact our Chairman, Sheila, on 07974577572 or sheilajones53@hotmail.com.
