Cheadle Crime Wave is Spreading

On Saturday, 5th December, at 12:30 pm, another theft occurred in a Cheadle store, this time at A&C Stores on Froghall Road. A middle-aged man questioned the price of groceries in the shop before running out with a black shopping basket full of food without paying.

The store owner, Ram, reported the theft to the police, who gave him a police case number. The police officer said on the phone that they would keep him updated, but no officer has called since to take down the details. Ram is mystified why they have not come out to talk to him and why they did not visit regarding another incident a few months ago.
The store uploaded images of the crime on Facebook, and the man was recognised by his sister.
We have emailed the police to ask if they could visit the shop to collect the evidence and the information that would lead to a name and address of the alleged criminal so police can investigate further.
Cheadle is suffering from a crime wave affecting the High Street shops and now its satellite shops too. We need our police to do their best to ensure this does not continue.
By working together as a community, we can convince criminals that they are not welcome in Cheadle and will be caught and dealt with.
