Tean Road Recreation Ground is to receive an update of the Toddler Play Space. Town Cllr Paulette Upton, the project lead, told COGNEWS what's happening.

In eight weeks' time, the toddler area will feature a carousel with a bucket seat and net swings for toddlers—both of which are inclusive for those with reduced mobility—and a sensory board. Also new to the park will be trail apparatus consisting of a balance bar, wave stepper, and sway alley for balance practice, important for developing those motor skills!
Cllr Upton told our reporter that the project will be completed in 8 weeks' to enable the change to take place and be completed in time for the main school holiday break. The area will be closed for 3 weeks prior to enable the work to be carried out safely.
For the planning fans, Cllr Upton said the project is being funded by Section 106 money collected in the Tean Road area and does not affect the Churchill Road area fund. She also said that a consultation with parents had taken place.

So everything should be ready to bring fun to the toddlers of Cheadle over the school break.
