The Lantern Parade will be a fantastic finale to the Arts Festival 2024 Programme of events. The community have been busy making lanterns at our workshops to make a stunning visual display. Spark Drummers have been booked.

Young Phoenix and The Phoenix Singers will perform
several of their favourite pieces to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

During the last year in particular our group has been hit hard by cancer, with many
undergoing treatments. Sadly we lost one of our members to this disease, but
thankfully we’ve had some successful completions of treatment too. We wanted to
do something that would make a difference, but also raise the spirits of our
community, friends and family - so we are going to sing!

~ Artists showcase & exhibition is set up in Guild Hall – one day only.
~Public judging of the Photographic Competition is taking place in the Oakley Room at the Guild Hall. Get your photo entries in first thing in the morning then come during the day and choose your favourites to win.
~There will be entertainers around town, including Morris Dancers.

Please note: applications are open to take a market stall or exhibition space please contact us via the website. Artists wishing to display their work should contact the oganiser asap.

An afternoon of performances including: Cheadle Community Choir, Uke3A - Ukulele bank, U3A band, and Amy Lou Dancers. Refreshments and cakes will be available to enjoy during the performances. Performers will be running 15 - 20 minute sets during the course of the afternoon. Come and stay as long as you like.

Wellbeing project Waymaking has expanded to Dimmingsdale, supported by Forestry England in partnership with OUTSIDE. This includes sessions for parents with babies every Tuesday, . Come for a short, gentle walk - free tickets

The first event - Special Service for Clock and Bells, followed by a Vintage Bear Exhibition, and a bring your own picnic. Please attend if you can and support this historic piece of Cheadle Life.

We have included the Wave of Light Service for Baby Loss Awareness Week in the Arts Festival programme because we are working with local charity A Child of Mine. Anyone that has been affected by baby loss is invited to attend this free service at the Wellspring Methodist Church in Cheadle. The service starts at 6.30pm and candles are lit at 7pm.

Urban Sketchers is a global community of artists. We share our love for the places where we live and travel - one drawing at a time. The USK mission is to raise the artistic, storytelling, and educational value of on-location drawing. Cheadle Arts is delighted to welcome back the Stoke-on-Trent USK group

Yoga and Mindfulness Classes, suitable for beginners through to advanced students.

Mental health drop in group aimed at people who have social anxiety or are socially isolated. Come in for a chat and brew. If you need further support this can be organised for you by our practitioner lead. Various professionals visit monthly including local PCSO’s and housing associations. Weekly social group Also
