If you’re planning days out over the Easter holidays, there’s plenty happening right across the county. From theme parks to animal adventures and garden trails, here are some highlights to enjoy with the family.


What's on this Easter in Staffordshire

Alton Towers Resort

Enjoy big rides like Oblivion and Wicker Man, revisit Nemesis: Reborn, or head to CBeebies Land, where the brand‑new Bluey ride 'Here Come the Grannies'! Opens from 28 March.


Apedale Railway

Hop on a steam train and take part in a free Easter egg hunt on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday.


Chasewater Country Park

Chasewater Egg Challenge at with a choice of 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k or Junior Run around the picturesque reservoir (tickets from £7).


Churnet Valley Railway 

Join the Mad Hatter's Tea Party onboard a steam train aChurnet Valley Railway, and enter the world of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, with the Queen of Hearts, Cheshire Cat, face painters, meet and greets, as well as Royal treats and a delightful cup of tea (or juice for non-tea drinkers). 


Dorothy Clive Garden

Join the team at the Dorothy Clive Garden, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Every day from 30th March to 12th April, you can explore these stunning gardens to find the hidden treats. The trail is free, but the usual admission prices apply - £8 adults, £2 children (plus booking fee).


Dovedale

There's lots of explore at Dovedale National Nature Reserve, climb to the top of Thorpe Cloud, spot Dippers flying down the river and pick up a tasty treat from our cafe vans in the car park, it's a full day of fun guaranteed this Easter.


There are 10 different giant eggs hidden along the valley, all painted with different Peak District wildlife. Hunt down all the eggs and have fun with all the activities along the way. Flap your way along the path, creep and jump! What animals will you find along the way? The price of the trail is £3.50 per child and includes the trail activities, pencil, bunny ears, activity leaflet to take home and a chocolate egg.


Drayton Manor Resort

With over 50 rides and attractions, Easter fun includes Thomas Land and the Care Bears Spring Celebration, running from 28 March to 19 April.

Curious about Lichfield

Self-guided heritage walks uncovering a treasure trove of hidden gems that promise to reveal quirky spots, fascinating history, and some surprising secrets of Lichfield. Perfect for all ages these walks combine learning with laughter and the joy of fresh air. Accessible and friendly for wheelchairs and buggies, each route takes 1-2 hours, making them an ideal way to spend an afternoon. The 16-page booklet, which is packed with: a detailed map, directions and clues, pictures to spot, historical snippets, and surprising stories about the people who shaped the city.


Ilam Park

200 years of Ilam Hall celebrations begins. Travel back in time to play, create and build on our fun filled Easter trail. Explore 10 fun activity stations around the park and travel back in time to learn about the people of Ilam Park. Find the Watts-Russell's family crest and design your own, create your own historically inspired mud pies, spy Saxon and Viking artifacts along the Battlestone path, be inspired by the landscape to write pebble poetry and much much more!

The price of the trail is £3.50 per child and includes the trail activities, pencil, bunny ears, activity leaflet to take home and a chocolate egg. There is no entry fee for Ilam Park, only a charge for car parking for non members.

Lower Drayton Farm 

There's some egg-stra special surprises at Lower Drayton Farm, with Eenie Beanie Bunny, the new Tulip Field, and a huge new Easter Egg Hunt. Plus there are farm animals, trailer rides, Easter Bunny Selfies.


Manor Farm Fruits Tamworth

Spot and count all the eggs on our trail and uncover Farmer Simon's favourite sweet treat. There is a little treat waiting for you on completion. Enjoy outdoor play with our straw bales, inflatables and farm play area. Swing by our Snack Shack for hot and cold drinks and light snacks.


McArthurGlen West Midlands

Celebrate the 5th anniversary of McArthurGlen West Midlands in Cannock, with Easter Bunny Meet & Greets, the Doodle Cube Trail, and their Easter Event offering extra savings on top of outlet prices.


Middleport Pottery

Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent has Easter activities for crafty kids and families. Easter Pottery Painting Workshops 6th April, where children can paint figurines, plates or mugs with prices starting from just £3.25 for small items and workshops cost £5. Easter Play with Clay on 7th–9th April, a fun self-led clay session for just £3. Find the missing chicks hidden around the site and learn their names then find the hidden phrase to complete the trail. Each participant will get a crafty treat.


National Forest Adventure Farm

Meet baby animals, enjoy Easter shows, ride through Bunny Woods and let off steam in huge indoor and outdoor play areas.


National Memorial Arboretum 

Join Albie the Owl for spring‑themed trails, music workshops, drop‑in crafts and the popular Stick Man Outdoor Trail.

Peak Wildlife Park

Explore the new capybara walk-through at Peak Wildlife Park and meet their new arrivals Clementine and Marmalade, before tackling the Spring into the Wild Trail with fun challenges, puzzles, and hands-on craft activities.


Stafford Castle

Stafford Castle is hosting its Easter Craft and Trail weekend on 4–5 April 2026. Kids can drop into the workshop to make an Easter-themed craft, then follow the woodland trail and enter the quiz for a chance to win prizes. It’s a relaxed, no-booking-needed activity that’s perfect for a low-cost Easter outing.

Statfold Country Park

2 visits for the price of 1 at Statfold Country Park, Tamworth, this Easter. Book to visit from 30th March to 12th April, and you'll get a free return visit to use over the same period.

Two lots of meet & greets, trails and Easter hunts - includes the National Fairground Museum with its huge collection of vintage fairground rides and attractions.


Tamworth Castle

Ruby the Castle Dragon has hidden her eggs to protect them from a dastardly dragon hunter — but they're so well disguised that even she can't find them! This Easter, young dragon-spotters are needed to search the castle, crack the clues, and reunite Ruby with her precious eggs. Complete the trail and earn a reward for your hard work. This is a self-guided trail with no live character interaction.

Included in general admission. No pre-booking required.


Trentham Gardens

Explore the gardens and spot a collection of Snoopy sculptures hidden along the walking route, rides and stalls, plus the Spring Bulb Festival, Lambing Live, the behind-the-scenes Farmers Experience.


Weston Park 

Easter at Weston Park means the brand new Down the Rabbit Hole Easter Trail, plus the return of vintage and classic cars for the popular Easter Motor Show, outdoor activities like bike rides and zip wires for the kids, and the chance to enjoy a picnic in the vast gardens and Capability Brown parkland.
