Two Arrested Following Devastating Fire to Tunstall Homes

Staffordshire police have today arrested a young man and woman in connection with starting a fire using a portable barbecue in Stoke-on-Trent.

The fire in the Sandy Road area of Tunstall in Stoke-on-Trent this week caused the total loss of four homes , damage to both gardens and 14 other homes. There is a playing field area behind the houses which enabled the fire to spread.

This was able to happen not just down to the actions of humans, but for the fact that the extremely dry weather made the hedges and gardens catch fire.
