Recently the fund has helped The Beatrice Charity; a narrowboat on the Cauldon canal running community charity trips and @21 The Young People’s Place, a drop-in centre that supports teenagers in the centre of Leek. Over 5,000 individuals have benefited from grant from the fund during last year alone.
Sue Webber, trustee of the Beatrice charity said “This award from We Love the Moorlands is absolutely fantastic because it will enable us to train four new skippers, so that we can offer many more trips to children with special needs and other groups – this grant will makes so much difference.”
