Leek CSOB ACFC (Leek County School Old Boys, Ability Counts Football Club) gather players and friends from across North Staffordshire and have put out an appeal for new sponsors.

CSOB began a football team based in Leek and surrounding moorlands area in 2024 aiming to promote and encourage the growth of people with disabilities and difficulties through sport and social interactions. These activities include training, tournaments, leagues, festivals, and social events. Their enthusiasm and love of the game is contagious and are shining examples of football at its finest.
The management team has been running local disability football and events for over 10 years. Over which time they have gained many accolades and have achieved many firsts in their fields. They encourage members to join FA courses, introducing them to referee, coach and first aid roles.
The club have 2 training sessions each week, Saturday 10-11am at Brough park and Tuesday 7-8pm at Ormiston Horizon Academy both in Leek. They play in the Staffordshire Ability Counts league, run by Staffs Senior League, and the Derbyshire League. They are grateful for the warm welcome and support they have received from everyone in the league.
Nigel Goldstraw, club chairman told us "We are currently calling out to local businesses for sponsorship. Leek CSOB ACFC need your help with expenses like league fees, pitch hire, kit and equipment. If you are willing to help and would like your company name on the kit, please get in touch.
We would also love to hear from anyone who has a disability and would like to get into football."
