Support Staffordshire have release the details for the new Social Action Grant funding, which may be of interest to you or someone you know.

About the Social Action Grant:
Grants of up to £500 per project
For new ideas or grassroots activities that bring people together
Projects must involve volunteers
Open to groups across the Staffordshire Moorlands District
Delivered by Support Staffordshire, funded by SMDC as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF)
What kind of activities could be funded?
The remit is broad. For example, projects might include, but are not limited to:
Environmental action such as community gardening, litter picks, or clearing public rights of way (where not more aligned with the Climate Action Fund)
One-off events or workshops to address social issues
Inaugural activities like a “craft and natter” group to reduce rural isolation
Heritage walks or local tours
Activities supporting wellbeing or addressing specific health topics
This fund is designed to kickstart new ideas, so proposals should not be for established activities, although existing and new groups can both apply as long as it's about a new social action.
Funding can be used for both capital costs and services required to deliver the activity.
Key Dates and Information:
Deadline for applications: 11.59 pm Friday, 18 July
Application form and guidance notes are attached
Applications should be returned to Support Staffordshire by email or post (no online application system)
