Savers Health & Beauty in Cheadle Stands Up to Thief

Earlier this month, Manager Stacy observed a customer acting suspiciously. She asked, “What are you doing?” He replied, “I am not pinching.” Stacy told COGNEWS that those people who say they are not stealing are usually the ones that do.
The thief pushed his way towards the till, stole some fragrances, swore at her, and said, “If I want to pinch, I am going to pinch.” Stacy tried to stop him from leaving the shop, and he said, “I am going to punch you,” which resulted in Stacy suffering a scratched hand before he ran off with the stolen goods.
On Friday the 5th, the same man came into the shop. Stacy recognised him and allerted the other manager as the thief picked up some aftershave and attempted to walk out without paying.
A lady customer noticed what was happening and said to the thief, “You’re not going anywhere.”
He then threatened to smash her face in with the aftershave. Stacy gestured to her to let him go, which she did, and the thief escaped on foot along the High Street.
There have been other incidents in the shop which have been prevented by closely observing those who act suspiciously. Shoppers in Savers Cheadle will know the team are a friendly and knowledgeable bunch offering customers not only the best in beauty bargains but a lovely experience too.
COGNEWS has been informed that the police are taking action on this incident.
