The UK government has announced a new central hub for businesses looking for clear, trustworthy and relevant support at each stage of their journey. The platform brings together guidance on starting up, growing, exporting and investing, making it easier for businesses to access the information they need. ![]() The site tailors its support to individual business by asking a few straightforward questions about their sector, stage and location. From there, it provides personalised resources on funding options, compliance, hiring, exporting, digital adoption and more. This means you can quickly identify the steps that will have the biggest impact—such as improving products and services, expanding to new markets or adopting new technology—to accelerate sustainable growth. Editors Note: Having supported many SME's over the past 20 years one big problem especially for start-ups is something Chris Voss in his book Never Split the Difference refers to as Black Swans, that piece of information that is really important but you didn't know existed, and so couldn't make the right decision because you didn't even know what questions to ask! This hub should give us all the opportunity to have much of the available information at our fingertips. It won't be perfect but should provide a decent reference point something up until now we've lacked. |
