How used carpets are contributing to a more circular economy

Have you ever thought about what happens to the beautiful new carpet after an event or trade show? Often, they are discarded and end up in landfill. However, thanks to a new initiative by Blue Sky Technical Services, these carpets are now being repurposed in some truly innovative ways.

How used carpets are contributing to a more circular economy

Synthetic carpets are repurposed into reusable plastic pallets and compounds, helping support industries in their quest towards a more circular economy. This reduces waste, enhances the supply chain, and is sustainable. Pellets can then be made into all kinds of things, including furniture such as chairs and plant pots.

Pictured above is MD Michael Thompson with a sheet of the pallet material. Up close, it's pretty enough to hang on your wall and really strong too.
