Is your Website Secure?

Take the test.
Type your web address into your browser and if you see a little padlock symbol and the address starts https your website is secure. If there's no padlock and the code starts http then your site isn't secure.
Why This is Important From July 2018 Google marked all http sites as non-secure this will put off visitors to our site. Even if your website only has a contact us, hug or jump page, visitors could get an official looking notification pop up on their screen.
SSL Certificates
If you are storing any personal data on your website you must have a SSL certificate. An SSL or Secure Sockets Layer is responsible for encrypting the transmission of the data and because you are not collecting the data safely you could be liable under GDPR rules.
Many hosting companies charge you for a SSL certificate for your site. Typical cost for this is £100. If you are a Wix customer the SSL layer is already embedded. You can switch it off if you choose to, so if your Wix site is missing a padlock you can switch this on in settings.
