Rising energy bills remain one of the biggest pressures for Staffordshire businesses.
Staffordshire County Council is leading the new Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) – a government-funded programme designed to help local SMEs cut costs and carbon.

Through BEAS, eligible Staffordshire businesses can access:
Free on-site energy assessment worth around £1,100 – no cost to them.
50% match-funded grants of up to £100,000 to install energy-saving improvements.
Expert guidance to help reduce energy use, lower emissions, and improve long-term sustainability.
Local firms are already seeing results. Norman’s Musical Instruments in East Staffordshire (pictured) accessed BEAS support to install new LED lighting and heating controls. With a grant of over £3,600, they’re already cutting their energy bills.
