Fire Safety for Summer Gatherings

If you are heading out with friends and drinking outdoors, please don’t light fires or use disposable BBQs in woods, parks, or grassy areas. When you’ve been drinking, it’s easier to lose control or underestimate the risk.

Fire Safety for Summer Gatherings

Dry grass and leaves catch light fast and fires can spread in seconds — putting you, your friends, wildlife, and nearby homes in danger. What starts as a laugh can quickly turn into a serious emergency.

Don’t take the risk. Stick to safe spaces and leave fires and BBQs at home. If you see smoke or a fire starting, call 999 straight away. Look out for each other and keep our local green spaces safe.
