The Dougie Mac is looking for more volunteers to join its team this year and would love to hear from anyone who has some time to give and wants to make a difference in their local community. Previous experience isn’t required for some of the roles as role-specific training is provided.

If you have some time to give and are you looking for a new challenge, the chance to learn new skills or meet new people then volunteering with Dougie Mac could be for you.
Dougie Mac relies on a team of more than 800 dedicated volunteers who regularly give their time to support across the hospice.
Sarah Thomas, Head of Volunteer Services at Dougie Mac, explained: “Our volunteers are essential to the work we do and every single one of them plays an important role in the day-to-day running of the charity.
“We have volunteers in almost every area of the hospice - from prepping food in our kitchens to
photographing items to list on our eBay site and helping at our fundraising events. Our wonderful volunteers give thousands of hours each month, supporting more than 40 different hospice teams.
“Sixty per cent of our volunteers work within our local charity shops and play an essential role in helping our shops generate more than £6 million of vital income each year – quite simply we couldn’t manage without them.”
Anyone who would like to know more about the different roles available at Dougie Mac and apply to be a
