Community Safety Reminder: Longer Days, Safer Ways

Now that the days are growing longer, it’s great to see children enjoying more time outdoors. While they’re making the most of it, a few simple steps can help keep them safe and give you peace of mind too:

•  Know their plans: where they’re going and how they’re getting there.

•  Know their company: who they’re spending time with 

• Set a return time: and agree on what to do if plans change or they have a problem

• Stay connected: make sure they can contact you if needed 

• Talk about safety – remind them how to seek help and trust their instincts

• Even a quick check-in can make a real difference. When families and communities stay connected, we help children feel confident, supported, and safe.

• If you ever have concerns about a child’s safety, don’t hesitate to reach out.
