Cheadle Mayor's Halloween Spectacular: Fireworks & Laser Show for Charity
Cheadle Mayor Phil Routledge is to host a Fireworks & Halloween Spectacular in support of his chosen charities: Glow, a Staffordshire domestic violence charity that supports both men and women, and Fibromyalgia Action UK, a cause close to his heart.
The event will take place at Hales Hall on 31st October, where there will be two separate displays: one at 6:15 aimed at those with young children and the main event taking place at 7:30. There will be food and drinks available, including a Peakstones beer bar, along with children's activities and rides. With family tickets starting at just £17, this promises to be a great family night out for local people, and something different for Cheadle. We are informed that early bird tickets are already sold out for adults and local people are encouraged to get their tickets early to secure the best price. The mayoral team have selected pricing so that it is affordable for as many people as possible whilst supporting this year's charities.
Local company Laser Hire Ltd are designing the show effects, which will include fireworks, lasers, flame effects and Spaceflowers, to be viewed from the specially created audience arena framed by two rows of trees on a slightly sloped grassed area which will improve viewing. Hales Hall offers some of the most stunning views in Cheadle and this show promises to be something very special. The shows will be performed to a soundtrack and in between the two planned shows and through the evening Laser Hire will beam effects, lighting effects and graphics/messages. This event is not suitable for pets, and the laser, lighting and other effects including laser graphics, will be used throughout the evening starting at around 5.30pm up to 8.45pm.
Booking is essential, and car parking will be opposite the venue, with the venue car park reserved for disabled visitors. All proceeds from the £2 car parking fee will go directly to the charities too.
The firework material being used in the displays is being sourced to be as quiet as possible, with many different effects from the country’s largest supplier, based down the road in East Staffordshire. Please note the children’s display to reduce the overall noise level still further.
Mayor Phil said, "I wanted to do something different for all the people of Cheadle to enjoy, and as the nights draw in, having something fun to look forward to is good for everyone. I'm hoping that it will be well supported and we'll raise lots of funds for my two mayoral charities."
"If you'd like to come along, do get your tickets early to secure the best price and to make sure you don't miss out - we think this event might sell out quickly!"
Local residents and their family members who may be photosensitive should be aware that the show takes place on the 31st of October 2026 at Hales Hall in Cheadle between 5:30 and 8:45 p.m. and make any adjustments they need to ensure their own safety.
