The Cheadle Arts Festival Group will be staging the creativity and talents of local people, as they join with many partners across the town and beyond, this October. An impressive array of activities and events will be on offer.
Theatre, Music, Dance, Comedy, Crafts, and Photography will be celebrated in venues, shops and other spaces. Expect to see the work of local artists displayed in our town centre shops, some for sale, some just for pleasure. Look out for the winter planting taking place this month to keep Cheadle looking her best. Â A variety of workshops will be happening across the town, along with competitions for budding photographers young and old, and a children's art competition too. Highlights of the season will include lantern making sessions, which will then be used in the grand finale lantern parade. Cheadle is always a creative town but never more so than in October, and this year's theme is Dark & Light and will be showcased in the musical afternoon at St. Giles Catholic Church, The Lantern Parade and competitions to name a few.
CATS, u3a, Cheadle Market, Creative Cheadle, Wellspring, Cheadle Cricket Club, Outside, with many more groups and individuals, are all busy creating the wonderful delights in store for us this autumn. Take a look at the events and activities already listed, with more to come. There are many free activities available, and some splendid ticketed paid events too offering excellent value and refreshments. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment and if you've been meaning to invite friends and family to visit, this is a fine time to catch up over something cultural or creative. This is our opportunity to showcase Cheadle to the wider world. Don't miss it!
