Moorlands Climate Action, Move More Staffordshire Moorlands, Staffordshire Police, and Cheadle Town Council came together to organise a cycle repair workshop last month. Open to all ages, people could bring along their broken bikes and find out if they could be repaired. Bikes were also being provided to a local refuge to help give families a fresh start.

Security marking was also available, and for those who would benefit from a bike to get mobile, it was an opportunity to get a bike as well.

Deb from Staffordshire Move More told us "There are bike sales organised across Staffordshire Moorlands where children's bikes are sold typically at £5 and adult bikes at £10, which might be great Christmas presents where budgets are a bit tight. Money raised from the bike sales will go to a local community group, and the other half is spent on helmets and lights for the children's bikes."
