A Gorgeous New Arts Space - Studio 15

Last month, Cheadle welcomed another lovely business to the town, this time a creative arts space on Cross Street called Studio 15. The Mayor and Mayoress popped in to see owner Kerry Broad to welcome her to the town, and COGNEWS went along too on the official opening day (20th June 2026).

Kerry told us, "In 2017, I was where Holly's boutique was as Bless Your Arts Boutique, so this has been an itch I needed to scratch because I love doing the workshops and having that contact with people. I think if it's in your blood, it's in your blood."
"My business really took off during COVID. Everybody wanted to do art, and the art packs that I do, you don't need to do in a workshop, so I was busy posting art packs out for people to do at home." said Kerry.

The walls in Studio 15 are lined with a beautiful array of artwork, some is for sale and some is Kerry's own collection, most have a story behind them. If there is something that people see and like she can recreate any artwork in your colouring and with your input. "I'm always photographing things and always painting and working with different techniques and mediums." Kerry told us.

She's a Cheadle girl born and bred and was pleased to see how the town centre is improving. She's planning that Mondays will be more of a mental health Monday in the shop, with evening sip and paint workshops, and plein air workshops where attendees will go out into the town and sit where the monument is—looking down the road to Pugin's Gem for sketching, and then come back to the shop for painting or mixed media creating. She's hoping to do this for other local landmarks too.
Wednesday afternoon will be Junk Journaling, which is where you have a little scrapbook and use bits of memorabilia, your own drawings, and Kerry has little packs that you can stick in, draw, paint, etc., putting different things on each of the pages. This is a great technique for improving your mental health and just relaxing through creating. Kerry told us that scrapbooking can also be a great way to connect the things you pick up on your travels and display them as memories, such as receipts, pictures, etc. You can include a little map with stops along the way to your destination.
Some of the Lovely Items on Sale In-store
Opening hours to start with will be a full day Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 10 am - 4 pm, open Wednesday afternoon 2 - 6 pm, and closed Tuesday & Sunday. All classes and sessions will be on Eventbrite. You can email or call too. Some sessions will allow people to walk in, but others will need to be booked. She's also hoping to offer walk-ins where people can pick an activity that they want to do, and everything is available for you to use the facilities. Workshops will be around £6. Kerry will have posters in the shop windows advertising what's coming up.
The shop does have disabled and pushchair access if you go under the arch. There is an area to leave pushchairs and a toilet too. We wish Kerry every success with her new venture and are looking forward to hearing more about the brilliant things her visitors make.
