Young bikers who want to improve their skills and keep themselves safe on the roads are invited to a free, informal BBQ on Wednesday 14 August, hosted by the Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP).
The Young Biker BBQ, which takes place from 6-9pm at Bryan’s Motorcyle Training, Bet 365 Stadium, Stoke, gives bikers - and their parents or guardians - the chance to meet other bikers their own age, the road safety team and partners, with the opportunity to access training and advice on safer riding.
The event is part of a range of initiatives from the SSRP to help keep young riders safe, including a scheme that offers potential riders aged 15-21 the opportunity of a £50 discount off their CBT if they attend one of our Pre-CBT workshops either in person or online – contact stuart.allen@staffordshire.gov.uk or staffs-new-biker@staffordshire.gov.uk for more info or to book your place.
If you know a young biker who is looking to improve their skills, or is thinking about using a bike to commute to work or college as an alternative to public transport, find out more about the BBQ and other resources at: www.staffsbiker.co.uk/young-biker-bbqs/
