Wilding (PG)
Tuesday 29th October
Doors: 7:00pm, Film starts: 7:45pm
Foxlowe Arts Centre, Market Place, Leek
Many may not need an introduction to this film as the book ‘Wilding’ has become a best seller. However, great cinematography and a beautiful score bring this inspiring story of an ancient landscape being reborn vividly to life. It’s the story of a young couple trusting in nature to secure the future of their failing, four-hundred-year-old estate. Bravely abandoning their intensive farming practices, they instead created a haven in which fences were removed and animals could run free. This grand experiment has become one of the most significant rewilding experiments in Europe. Its message to allow nature to thrive is a timely one. Emmy award winning director David Allen documents a rare success story and, in the process succeeds in creating an elegant and delightful film.
