Children's Art Competition
October 04-19
Please submit your child’s work to Gelato & Cakes or look out for some of our children’s art sessions. The judges shortlist will be displayed on 19th October at the Showcase Day in the Guild Hall. Winners will be announced at 4pm.
Age categories: 4 and under; 5 to 7; 8 to 11
Adults – just leave the little ones to it! If you feel creative try entering the photo competition.
CATS THEATRE PRODUCTION

A double bill of two classic short horror stories presented in the format of radio plays.
The Monkey’s Paw is a horror short story by English author W. W. Jacobs which tells of the supernatural powers of a mummified monkey’s paw which can grant three wishes to those that possess it. But…… beware of the hellish consequences as punishment for tampering with fate!
The Signal-Man is a horror mystery story by Charles Dickens which tells the tale of a railway signalman haunted by a spectre and who receives phantom warnings of danger each of which is followed by a terrible accident.

Come along to our regular COG meeting where we'll be joined by the NHS to discover how best to connect with urgent and emergency care.
COG will be launching our Plastic Free Community Program & you can find out more about Nature in Your Neighbourhood and what the changes to the Governments housebuilding plans could mean for the town.
Wellspring will be revealing their exciting plans for new indoor and outdoor community spaces for Cheadle.

Judging: All photographs will be displayed and judged by the public on 19th October.
Entry: One entry per person and entry is free of charge. Please bring your photographs to the Guild Hall on 19th October between 9:30am – 11:30am and collect them between 4pm and 5pm (or leave us a SAE if you cannot collect).
Prizes will be awarded in both age categories. Prizes will be vouchers to spend in participating Cheadle retailers.

several of their favourite pieces to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
During the last year in particular our group has been hit hard by cancer, with many
undergoing treatments. Sadly we lost one of our members to this disease, but
thankfully we’ve had some successful completions of treatment too. We wanted to
do something that would make a difference, but also raise the spirits of our
community, friends and family - so we are going to sing!

The Lantern Parade will be a fantastic finale to the Arts Festival 2024 Programme of events. The community have been busy making lanterns at our workshops to make a stunning visual display. Spark Drummers have been booked.
