Leave your bin out; they are coming for it.

This week, residents in the North Ward, Froghall Road, Ness Grove, Churchill Road, and more have not had their bins emptied on the usual Monday collection.

Many of you will know that if you leave your bin out overnight, you could be fined for doing so.

COGNEWS spoke with the district council today, who, after a 40-minute wait, are advising residents to leave their bins out all week until they are collected. No explanation was given for why they have not been collected, nor a specific date for collection, but they want to reassure residents that they will be collected this week.

There is no information on SMDC's website, and with high winds last weekend, it's perhaps not the best start for the year, which does includes a 2.99 percent increase in our council taxes.
