Pensioners Fair in Cheadle: A Community Event for Seniors
On Friday, November 6th, the Guildhall was filled with pensioners and organisations dedicated to promoting a better lifestyle for seniors. The pensioners' fair was organised by our MP, Dame Karen Bradley, who spent the afternoon interacting with both organisations and attendees.

The fair was supported by Citizens Advice, the Library Service, U3A, the Local Policing Team, We Love the Moorlands, Moorlands Voluntary Transport Service, Support Staffordshire - Your Care Your Way, nAble DFG Granting, Your Housing, and many more service providers showcasing what's available in the local area.

The event was well attended, and it was lovely to see family members and friends coming along together and chatting both to stallholders and other visitors.
The event was organised by local MP Dame Karen Bradley and her team, who had written to around 6,500 local homes in and around Cheadle, inviting people to come along. This is the third year that Cheadle has been able to be included in this annual scheme of events, something she has organised for many years. It was made possible when the political boundaries changed and Cheadle was included in Dame Karen's constituency.

Visitors to the COGNEWS stand were able to pick up the November issue of COGNEWS, hot off the press that day, as well as any back issues they had missed.
Many told us how much they enjoyed the magazine, and we were able to answer questions and signpost them to service providers in the area.

Mayor of Cheadle Philp Routeledge welcomed visitors to the event and expressed his gratitude to Dame Karen for organising the popular event.
